EMILY HUANG

AUSTIN, TEXAS

Emily started her WCS journey when she was a freshman in college. Having a passion for music and dance growing up, WCS felt like her calling. She first began DJing locally at a monthly dance social in Austin called Swingeasy. In her sophomore year of college, she received a college swing scholarship and was able to get DJ training and experience through it, DJing at some out of state socials and events, including TAP.

Emily began travelling the circuit to DJ and compete at events like Floorplay, Rose City Swing, MADjam, Chicago Swing Classic, Easter Swing, Liberty, WWW, Atlanta Swing Classic, and even the US Open. While she enjoys playing competition music, her passion is for social music as she loves to experiment with versatile songs and take dancers on a journey.
