When she’s not busy as running the weekly West Coast Wednesdays (WCW) dances, WCW founder April Prince spins tunes as the house DJ. 

In the Chicago area, April DJs and manages West Coast Wednesdays and The Mix Dance.  April runs 3 dance conventions including The Chicago Classic, Swing City Chicago, and Floor Play Swing Vacation.  She spins at national dance events which have included The US Open, Boogie By the Bay, Meet Me in St Louis, Florida Swing Vacation, Tampa Bay Classic, Sweetheart Swing, Phoenix 4th of July, Seattle Easter Swing, Austin Rocks, Swingin’ Dance Party, Florida Dance Magic, Show Me Showdown, Dance Camp Chicago,  and Worlds Country Dance Championship. 

She has a bachelors and masters degree in music education, is a Global Dance Hall of Fame DJ and was the 2009 All Swing DJ of the year award.
